BIOGRAPHY

DAVID MARKO

Born and raised in Southern California’s San Gabriel Valley, I developed a strong foundation in leadership and civic engagement from an early age. Through active involvement in school, church, community organizations—including the Boy Scouts—and early political education, I learned the value of public service and participatory citizenship. A grade school professor first introduced me to the symbiotic relationship and importance of voting and the census, instilling in me the understanding that both are vital to a functioning democracy.

By high school, I was volunteering at local polling places and supporting the census. On my eighteenth birthday, I began official service in those roles, gaining experience and insight through direct coordination with local and state leaders. Utilizing my growing skill sets in training and development, I was proud to help launch L.A.M.P., Southern California’s first state literacy project, and my commitment to public service grew as I joined local boards and committees. I later led the local effort for Ronald Reagan’s election and re-election campaigns in the San Gabriel Valley, and co-led a full-day simulated bipartisan political convention—featuring Maureen Reagan—that brought together students and elected officials for an unforgettable civic experience.

In 1998, my family and I moved to the Big Bear Valley, where I continue to live and work. While operating my financial services business, I maintained my decades-long involvement with the U.S. Census and local elections—serving as enumerator, field supervisor, polling place supervisor, and election auditor in San Bernardino County, adding to my earlier experience in Los Angeles and Riverside Counties.

Currently, I serve as President of the Big Bear Valley Republican Assembly, and as Vice President and Assistant Chaplain for the California Republican Assembly. I remain deeply committed to organizing local Republican groups, fostering collaboration between liberty-minded organizations and Republican coalitions across county lines, and growing the conservative movement at the regional level.

My goal is to unify and mobilize conservatives across the Inland Region to strengthen our Republican presence, expand our voter base, maximize our resources, share best practices, provide regular communication and updates, and win elections at every level of government.

You can count on me to lead with integrity, work collaboratively, and serve with diligence and faithfulness. I am David Marko, and I respectfully ask for your support and your vote as your next Inland Regional Vice Chair. I look forward to working side by side with you to build the broadest and strongest coalition for liberty and victory.

Sincerily,

David Marko
